"Local" is in my top five restaurants in Toronto. I love the food, staff and the atmosphere is like no other. There Guacamole and Szechuan Edamme is to die for. It's such a laid back, cozy atmosphere. The staff are incredible...super friendly, witty, fun-loving and very accommodating. I have eaten both downstairs and upstairs. I have to say, upstairs is my favourite when you are with a group of friends...easy to mingle and switch seats on the comfy retro couches and chairs. Nice place to hang out. I though the price/portion ratio was a bit off in regards to the food items such as in the starters menu. It was also very hard to read the menu because of the lighting and style of the menu, but overall it was a nice place.
