I ordered the chicken sandwich for delivery by Door Dash twice. The sandwich was delicious (big piece of chicken, pickles, and coleslaw) but lukewarm. The second time it was cold and not as good. The portion of fries was smaller than what you get in the restaurant and lukewarm the first time, cold the second. It took an hour to get the food (not the driver's fault, the restaurant took a very long time to prepare the food). The gravy on the side tasted like a peppercorn gravy and was quite good. Note that Door Dash offers fr... read more
We walked through Local Leaside's doors just before noon on a weekday, and the place was already about half full. The scant booths were taken, so we were stuck with a high table. (Seriously, why so many high tables?) Anyway, I knew walking in what I wanted to eat: The Diablo Hamburger ("Cheddar & jack cheese, hot sauce, pickled jalapeños & onions") and I substituted a salad for the fries. It arrived about 15 minutes later and it's definitely quite impressive in appearance. The burger looked like something you'd see in an a... read more
We go to both locations and the food is consistent and delicious. This review is for both locations (Leaside and Liberty Village) The service depends on how busy it is. The food and drinks are always good. The decor is rustic and goes perfectly with the food and drink selections. I don't remember ever having a bad dish. The burger arrived soggy once, the restaurant was too crowded that day, so I didn't send it back. Although the buns was soggy, I still ate it, and it was good and the beef patties were well seasoned nonethele... read more
Great local place for a casual drink. We went there later at 8 pm and it was just busy enough. Food was alright and I especially love their mystery wine by the glass for $6!
Quick service, great and varied selection (they even have Ramen) and fun pub ambience. The sweet potato with garlic aioli appetizer is highly recommended. The servings are actually quite bigger than expected and very filling. Good thing I didn't opt for the optional 3rd Taco. Parking might be full on site, but you can park on the plaza across the street or in the residential area after 6PM (turning right from North to McCrae drive).
As a follow up to my last review, I contacted the manager, Evan Stewart, who had reached out to me after a poor review. I replied, taking him up on his offer of a $75 gift card. Conveniently, after confirming, he left this location and moved to Seattle. Luckily, the new manager, Kenny, was lovely and followed through on this offer. We had a much better experience! I loved my tuna poke bowl - it was super flavourful and they substituted arugula for the rice as per my request. The pints were reasonable priced and my friend was... read more
Love coming here! It's definitely got the cool, relaxing/hangout vibe. The food is actually really good. I just wish they had a few more cider options!
Decent food. Good atmosphere. I got the fish tacos and it was good! I wouldnt say it's the best place to go for tacos but these were decent.
Cool place with delicious food and great rotating taps. We come here to watch the raptors play. They also have a great menu of fusion food and regular pub food. They also have a discounted happy hour prices menu after 9pm. However the food comes out pretty slowly.
