Came back 11 months later. My wife and I ordered chicken Florentine and veal parmigiana. Our waitress Marcy, was very attentive and very polite with exquisite manners. We were surprised how busy it was for a Thursday, just about a full house. Took about 30-40 minutes for our meals to arrive, but to their credit was fairly packed. We orderd pizza from this company for the first time last week. I read several reviews before ordering to see what people's thoughts were. Reviews were scatterd all over the board. So here is what we thought! Our overall opinion was better than good. The pizza was delicious and it was loaded with toppings. Delicious delicious delicious Chicago style Italian dinners! mmmmmm Fantastic thin crust. Crunchy salad. Hearty warming minestrone. Pasta family size. Great pizza place in Rockford, Illinois! Cheap beer, excellent service was impressed by the good food! I really like the nice clean place, feels like a Chicago pizza place! I would come back!

Being budget minded, we often find ourselves ordering pizza or pasta from the national chains or cheap joints, but after reading reviews on here and other sites, we decided to splurge for an occasion and order from Maciano's. As a first visit (for carry-out), we ordered a couple pasta entrees, a cal-zone, and a pizza. Not really a fan of the pasta here, but the pizza is top notch. Always happy to bring a togo pizza over to a friends house to watch the game. I'm partial to the thin crust, and my girlfriend was happy to see there are gluten free options.

The pizza we ordered was fresh, hot and delicious. Love their food, would recommend this place. The only downside was the wait for delivery. But with food this good, it's worth the wait.

My fiance and I ate for the first time at Maciano's on Friday. I have to be Gluten Free due to a medical diagnosis and it's been almost impossible to find a good GF pizza! All restaurants that I've been to, that offer them, are always serving a frozen GF pizza which tastes like a cheap 4.99 version you can easily buy in a grocery store's frozen aisle. Great little cozy place with some really good thin crust pizza, every thing looked good on the menu, but I had the pizza before and I just had to have it again. Maybe next time I will get one to go also. The wait staff was kind and quick. All was quite affordable. It is rare to find a real pizza place in Rockford in fact almost impossible, but these guys have got it done pat.
