I've been going to this location since they opened several years ago. The staff is very professional and knowledgeabl.

I absolutely recommend this location! I went in for an all over hair color and I was nervous. I have been doing my hair at home for a while now. The colorist took a good long look and consulted with others. I was told that I would need to go and get a color correction. Now others might be upset and wonder why the review. Point is this. I was skeptical because I'd only used full service salons. My hair is in much better shape now because of the Madison Reed products and I get my color done when it needs it not when I happen to be in the salon for other things or haircuts.

Really like this place! It's clean and they do exactly what they advertise. I'm in and out every 4 weeks, it's convenient, nearby & affordable. I recommend for colors and just schedule your haircuts elsewhere.

I'm torn. I feel like the service is fine for the cost, but I had a pretty weird experience this time. I have been 3 times. I am used to people not knowing what to do with me when I take out my hearing aids and tell them I'm deaf - mostly no one talks to me (or if they do, not loud enough for me to hear). People are used to all or nothing, so I get that it's weird. The colorist was fine, she just did her job and left. But the woman who rinsed my hair was.... Interesting. This was my first trip to Madison Reed Color Bar Allen, and I have to say, I was a little disappointed that the assigned Hair Color Specialist (I know her name, but I won't bash people) just wanted to upsale my services (I had booked root touch up) and she argued that I had to upgrade to all over color based on the Color Selection I had picked. I have a "Roots membership" and go to the Allen location about every 4 weeks. The salon is always clean and the colorists are very professional. I enjoy the ability to dry my own hair - styling it the way I want but also saving the money for a cut and style at a full salon. They are also good at scheduling (well, you do your own online) because I seldom have to wait more than a few minutes for my service to start.

Really like the concept. Some colorists are better and more attentive than others. Christopher at the Allen location is awesome!

I visited the store today. The service was excellent. The lady that helped me was very patient and kind. She recommended the treatment my hair needed to look it's best. I can't wait to try it.
