Really enjoyed my first experience here today. Exactly what I was expecting in color shade. I let the salon color and blow out my hair. So happy. What I thought I needed the stylist walked me through the product and encouraged me with a different color and she was right. I love it. I'd definitely come back in 8-10 weeks for a root touch up.

The first time I booked with Madison Reed this location was fully booked so I journeyed up to the next closest. I'm so glad I was able to get an appointment for yesterday (a Saturday) and was surprised it was already quite full (I booked a few weeks prior). Book in advance ladies! This location is in a super convenient and central part of Coral Gables, I lucked out with parking but I'm sure there is a garage or two nearby as well. My colorist was AMAZING!!!!! Madison Reed corporate should be very proud of the crew they have assembled in Coral Gables. Every colorist who works there is patient, pleasant and invested. My appt started right on time and the girl who worked with me was great. I am so tired of paying salon prices every five weeks which is how often I need my hair colored. The product is great, the choices of colors are grand and the service is top notch!

This was my second visit. The first one went well and I was looking forward to the second visit. When I made the appt. I added a gloss. When I arrived it was suggested to me to get the treatment for frizz and damaged hair. After the treatment I could barely get the brush through. It was all knotted and not smooth. It was suggested I have it washed out which I did and it was much better. Totally disappointing service! After clearly explaining to the consultant that I wanted a specific shade of brown,, my hair turned out very dark, closer to black. This I could have got from a pharmacy permanent color, not the acclaimed Madison Reed. Also the initial consultant who applied the hair color did not even check. I was shown the self dry and had to find my consultant too say I was not happy with my hair looking so dark. She said it would appear lighter outside. I'm totally upset by this result. Very disappointing. We were very clear about the color we wanted for my mother and the technician did not even come close. Then she suggested the only way to get the color asked for was thru highlights. It seemed to be a scam to get an 85 year old woman to spend more money. Despite liking the color I use myself I would never recommend anyone using the technicians there to color hair.

I booked an appointment for root touch-up and high-lighting/balayage. I read the cancelation fee and thought I'd be charged $20.00, then I saw a charge for $145.00 on Am Ex. I rechecked the the policy and it said balayage must be canceled 48 hours in advance. My appointment was for tomorrow and my granddaughter contracted Covid and I have to stay home to watch her. 48 hours to cancel? I've never had this happen with a hair salon!
