I can always get in to get hair done. They are fast and it used to take 3 hours to get my hair done, it is 75 minutes there. They always do a great job getting my hair rinsed out and the coloring last. They are always nice and courteous. ​

I came in as part of the Yelp Elite Event. Right off the bat I have to say that the salon is in a great location. It was about an hour drive from me but it's a nice outdoor mall that I would make a point to take time to spend time in for a future visit. I arrived for my appointment and was greeted right away, but I had to wait about 10-15 mins while they finished up with another customer. Not a big deal. I haven't colored my hair in over 10 years, so I was a bit nervous about getting my hair dyed again. I always go for a natural look and wanted something that wouldn't be obvious when it grows out because I wasn't sure if I would keep up with dying my roots. Although I'm a fan, there were a couple of mixed feelings coming out of the Color Bar. Overall, the color salon itself is very convenient and not too overpriced for those who would rather have their hair colored by professionals rather than doing it at home. They also emphasized the healthy ingredients in their products which I could tell by how much softer my hair got after a one process color (usually the opposite). Was happy to receive a Yelp VIP invitation to try this new color salon since I've heard of Madison Reed color, didn't know they opened actual salon services, and my roots needed serious attention. I had a great experience at the Vernon Hills, Illinois location. The salon is located behind the Whole Foods in a strip mall. The place was very clean and organized. They follow Covid guidelines which was re-assuring. Gina colored my hair and was super friendly. She was very professional and displayed great concern that I get the right color. Here for the YEE. I'm quite happy and satisfied with this visit. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The space is clean and simple. All of their at home use products are displayed in simple and efficient fashion with visible pricing. My colorist was super honest about my expectations vs reality, which didn't make me happy at first, but reality set in and I've accepted the fact.
