For some reason it was really busy the night we came (May 15) and it was difficult to find a parking space. We enjoyed the food as usual but it seemed a bit noisy in the back room. This will not keep us from coming back as the food is great and the prices are reasonable. We also like the free entrée on your birthday deal.
This place was great. We were seated at a table by a large front window and could watch the comings and goings of the Mothers Day Eve diners. The food was excellent and fairly priced and the service great.
My boyfriend and I really enjoy dining at Mangiamo! The food is always great and the service is impeccable. On our last visit we got to see some local wild life...two raccoons were climbing down from their nest for the evening.
Beautiful mansion, amazing ambiance, exceptional service, below average food. Although the meal had some highlights (an amazing greens salad), we could have gotten a better meal elsewhere for less money.
My Wife and I went on a Friday evening. I was able to make a reservation online which was really convenient. We were seated with minutes of arriving. Great drink and app recommendations from our server. For dinner I had the Sirlion with wild mushroom risotto and asparagus. It wasn't as warm as I would have liked it, but still tasted delicious. My wife had the Salmon Alla Sardinia and really enjoyed hers as well. Overall a great dining exerperience.
We were close to the fireplace, in the Library room where the decor is so romantic. The ambience was great, food and italian wines were delicious but the service was toooo long! And even if, usually, I really prefer to take time for diner but here, it was too long to order at the beginning, then to have our meals, water, wine... I don't know why because there was 1 server for 3 or 4 tables of 2 customers. Not too bad about the ratio. Anyway I will come back for sure to discover the other rooms and to enjoy outside!
The location, ambience, decor, service was great. I loved the ease of making a reservation, and the reminder sent by email. I also got a phone call. The room was jus a little too noisy but we loved it.
This was our first time at Mangiamo! We were very pleased. The food was excellent with some plesant surprises on the menu. We frequently come to Grand Rapids for events and we will definately be back.
Food was excellent. Service was VERY slow & unprepared. There was food all over the floor from the night before & all over our table cloth. We have eaten at this resteraunt before & really liked it. I think they were just unprepared for Easter brunch (not normally open that early on Sundays).
