easy to set up and arrived safely and securely There are a lot of other printers out there for sure, but this one seemed to have the most bang for the buck with the included large ink tanks. A lot of capability too. My second Brother printer - the first one lasted for many years until the print head began getting spotty. I used aftermarket inks the entire time and that may have contributed to it's demise - depending on who you ask of course. Anyway, prints perfectly, easy to set up and arrived safely and securely.

This is the best inkjet printer I have owned This is the best inkjet printer I have owned. It replaced a Brother color laser MFC that was taking up too much space in the office. Printing is a little slower than the laser but the color quality is significantly better. Ink usage is very reasonable, and the included replacement inks should last somewhere between 1-2 years. Passable Very, very difficult to get it to work. Factory reset finally was the answer but codes are hidden and require their support. I had to get support to try it - they never suggested
Great printer Great printer, far better than the OTHER brand printer(s) that I have used for years. Too soon for a complete eval, like ink consumption etc. Really impressed.
Happy so far. Had this for over a month and so far I am happy. Skeptical of all the home printers on the market due to past experiences but this one has operated well. Easy WiFi setup with no major delays waiting to print. I admit I don't print a lot and have only printed documents but in this price range I wouldn't expect high photo quality printing and do not use it for that. Scans nicely to pdf. Will have to wait to see how well the ink holds out but looking forward to not paying the high cost of replacement cartridges.
Excellent, replaced two high-priced but clumsy printers An outstanding printer with ink that lasts a good long time. I replaced two $300 HP inkjet printers that were good but simply sucked down ink like there was no tomorrow, not to mention convoluted menus that had to be drilled down in for often-used specifics. This Brother MFC-J985DW has straight-forward control menus without contradictions and just prints very good photos and text, like a good printer should.
