Brother MFC -L8900 Review I purchased this as a replacement for an old but very good MFC (not Brother) which was just outdated and proving difficult to use with Windows 10 updates which 'broke' its scan to folder ability. Great Everything Features are wonderful, quality is amazing and the performance is perfect!
Office Manager It is an exceptional printer, so far minimal problems. It does take awhile to set up, and get things working.
Living up to its claims We bought this to replace a very well used HL4150CDN. Basically the same printer base but without the scanner and the high capacity toner. This one is faster than the old one printing single sided but a little slower on double sided. So far I like it. The touchscreen works well and it took a while to get it set up to save documents on the cloud but it works well now that it is set up.
Outstanding value. Printer is reliable thus far (about 4 months) has all features needed, color laser, duplex printing and scanning, and even orders it's own toners as needed. I did add a second tray so it chooses the source automatically based on paper type requeseted by the job printed. A bit slow on some jobs, as it pauses the print to preform some sort of internal cleaning / adjusting. But can't argue with the results, quality outputs at very reasonable price.
Machine is good There are many features that I do like unfortunately the customer service is awful.
Love the Single Pass Duplex ADF Scanner @ 600 DPI Easy to setup. The quality of both the hardware and software is excellent. The printer works flawlessly with our iPhones and our desktop PC. We pretty much do all duplex printing/copying/scanning. Love the single pass duplex ADF scanner, it never jams. The 600 DPI scanner resolution is great. Great product but kinda technie I bit on the techie for the typical home user. I had to hire an IT guy to network it and the fax feature. I worked on it myself for 2days and couldn’t figure it out. However, it’s cookin now.
Does everything my small business needs This printer can do almost everything. It prints both black and color, letter and legal size paper, single and double sided, glossy paper, thicker business card paper, and envelopes.
