Always great. Consumables are way too expensive We have owned maybe a dozen Brother MFCs. We are Realtors. Good speed and reliability. When they break though, it makes little sense to repair them. The cost of s new machine is on par with a full set of extra height capacity toner.
Actually does what I bought it for. I bought this to replace a Canon multifunction printer that was less than a year old. So far, although just a tad slower to start, it works great and the cost of the toner is soooo much less
Great printer! So far a great trouble free printer, that prints fast and the images come out looking good!
Great long term value. Very slow, prints 3 pages then stops to think about it, then prints 3 more! Repeat.
Great features and good value Previously had a Lexmark with print, scan and copy functions and the Brothers product is far superior and about the same price for the machine. It appears that the ink cartridges are much less expensive which is a big plus.
Scanning not seamless Still not able to use the scan function to my desktop so i can print or email the scan from my MFC-L8900
Good but doesn't work great with a MacBook Pro I loved this printer when I used Windows but now I have a MacBook Pro and there is no driver download. Because of this I have to take a ton of extra steps to scan. Thank goodness for Dropbox otherwise I would hate this machine.
VG Printer I like this printer. I also liked my last Brother printer, which was an injet. But that one had a lot of paper jams. I have had the 8900 for a couple of months and no jams yet. Print quality good.
Easy to use A coworker's dept had this printer and when I needed a new one, I decided to get this printer. Well, overall I am pleased with the printer. I was NOT pleased that after 4 months, the drum needed to be replaced and I had to spend HOURS on the phone with the company to determine the problem. The problem was misdiagnosed the first time and then spent another couple of hours on the phone a 2nd time to determine the drum needed to be replaced.
