I recently got a hamster from petsmart. The hamster was acting sluggish and not aggressive. The second day the hamster was sleeping all day, didn’t eat or drink, when we did wake her to check her she kept her eyes closed for a while, and there was an awe full smell due to watery poop. I figured it was wet tail. I took Lola the hamster to petsmart (on canal street) and they said they would see her the next day. I called later that day to plea they see her the same day after dressing all day. The vet there informed me they wou... read more

‼️‼️ PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS VETERINARY CLINIC ‼️‼️On July 19 of 2020, Benny, our 2 and 1/2 year old bunny wasn’t eating as well usual. We attempted to give him pellets and he refused to eat them (they were his favorite and were only given as a treat). At that point we knew something was seriously wrong with our baby, we then made the decision to call Countryside Veterinary Center (located at 9823 W 55th St Countryside, IL 60525) which was his primary vet. They then informed us that they were not taking walk-ins or emer... read more

I was very disappointed with the person who trimmed my birds nails. She or he did a terrible job, made my Conure to bleed in two of his fingers and leaving my bird sore for more than two days. Probably I would do a better job. You trust the hospital because people know what they do, but if this person who works there doesn’t know how to trim a nail of a bird, he or she is in the wrong place. In my case, I will never take my bird again to that place. If they don’t care what they do, I do not care for the place. And btw t... read more

We came here under the most painful of circumstances. Our vet sent us here when our parrot Sparkey wasn't eating or drinking, and he had grown quite weak. Our vet didn't have the equipment to better examine him. When we got here, they grabbed him from our car and took him in for an exam. We got the bad news that even with a hospital stay, he might not survive. When we made the final decision, we were brought in and set up so we could say goodbye.. They were so sweet and let us just talk about him as much as we could. While o... read more

On Christmas Eve, my ferret was fell ill. She wasn’t moving around as much and she was very lethargic. So we decided to take her to this Veterinary. Due to it being a emergency we had no choice. Right away I was welcomed with open arms and I felt like my ferret was in good hands due to the massive amounts of ferret photos. I should’ve known that was a facade. They took my ferret to the back room and came back to us with multiple suggestions on what she could have. Immediately started with IV and cooling her temperature. She ... read more

Early Saturday morning my daughters pet tortoise Tetra passed. We knew Tetra was sick and she had been taking care of her for weeks including hand feeding but it was just her time. While some people may not believe it is possible, my daughter had a bond with Tetra. We kept her terrarium on the kitchen table and she would come out to eat the same time she saw my daughter eating. Then that night, my daughter hand fed Tetra, gave her medicine and spent time with her on her lap. She said she came down to check on her around 2AM ... read more

Twice in the last year and a half, my green cheek conure has become ill on a weekend. Both times I took her to Midwest Bird and Exotic and they admitted her to the hospital. I am 100% certain she would not be alive today if it hadn't been for the wonderful doctors and staff. Thank you for saving my baby! There are no words to express my gratitude.
