About Us In 1995, Sheri Fastenrath, DVM identified the need for an emergent care facility for owners and their pets in the Huntsville area. Unfortunately, there were not many overnight emergency options for medical treatment in the surrounding area. The staff here is awesome. Everyone I came in contact with was incredible. Dr Armes and her staff saved my cat’s life. I highly recommend this place if your pet has an emergency. No doubt about, your pet will receive top quality care with a fantastic attitude! ��������
RecommendedThis group of doctors and techs have literally saved my dog's life on a couple of occasions. This is not really somewhere you ever want to be, but if you need to go, know that they provide incredible care and love for the animals they treat.

Arrived last Tuesday evening with a family member's pet dog that had a strong case of Parvo. The Receptionist, Vet Tech and Vet were all friendly and were able to answer all of my questions. He did test positive for Parvo and was immediately hospitalized. They did everything they could to help him through the night and I was able to come in early the next day to pick him up. It's been 48 hours and the pup is doing a lot better. The only thing that concerned me was that he was discharged from the clinic with the IV needl... read more

I'm sorry that it wasn't made clear but we only send a patient out with an IV catheter still in place with the intention for you to take your pup to your regular veterinarian for further care. We are happy that your fur baby is feeling better.

If it wasn't for Dr. Armes, Dr. Oliver and their staff my dog would not have made it past Saturday morning when we brought her in having the most awful seizure, bleeding and loss of bowel control I've seen in my life. Nobody thought she was going to survive without brain damage at minimum when we brought her in, but because of the determination of the professionals at the AEC not giving up on her, she is at home with us today and almost back to her old self (she's just super lazy right now because the seizure(s) took a lot o... read more
They were awesome! Our cat Max was acting weird and we were very worried and upset. They worked hard and were very nice! They figured out what was wrong and got our Max feeling better! I highly recommended them! :)

The Dr was very nice, my cat had been attacked by a dog and I was very upset. I was told he needed surgery and would have to leave a $1000.00 deposit, I asked if she could just stabilize him for 5 hours when my vet opened. She was super nice and did this and sedated him for 230.00 I think. Took him to my vet early next morning and they kept him a week (he was a very sick baby) total cost there was $170.00 they said he would not have lived through surgery. So glad she stabilized him for me
I hope you never have to use their services, but if you do you will be in great hands! So caring and loving all the way to the end of our little dog's life.
