About Us In 1995, Sheri Fastenrath, DVM identified the need for an emergent care facility for owners and their pets in the Huntsville area. Unfortunately, there were not many overnight emergency options for medical treatment in the surrounding area. Amazing service from the moment I called them in a panic. They told me to bring my cat in for an x ray, and then explained every step what he needed for surgery and recovery.

Had to take my little man, Ase to Animal Emergency & Critical Care on March 26, 2021 after he got in a fight with our bigger dog. The staff were so compassionate during our difficult time. I appreciated their honesty when we had to make the hard decision to put our man man down. I left a of my heart with them that day, but would definitely recommend them.

We were there last Saturday when my Boxer “Diesel “ decided to run into a glass window cut every artery and tendon in his lower leg. They were very passionate and understanding. They sent someone out several times to keep us updated on the situation.I was scared to death he wouldn’t make it because my kids would have been devastated. We Would highly recommend

The folks here are awesome. They saved my puppy from the Parvovirus. I really feel if weren't for the doctors here that Jax would not be alive today. He is now home and doing well considering what he has been through. We still have a ways to go, but things are looking brighter. The folks here really seem to care about your pet and are always available to give you updates on your pet. In an emergency, this is the first place I will be going to in the future.
