I have a LO (Loved One) currently at Oak River Rehab I have been so impressed with the care that he has been receiving. Everyday my LO tells me how nice the staff are and he said they treat him very well. I visit everyday and when I walk down the halls every staff member greets me with a smile and speaks to me. My LO receives PT at least 4 times a week. When he arrived at Oak River Rehab he could not walk at all. He has improved so much, he now is able to walk about 30 feet with a walker. He still needs the PT to improve hi... read more

Our grandmother recently stayed at Oak River Rehab for about a month. I have to say the intake team was absolutely fabulous! Tina took the time to talk us through the process. Her assistance and patience helped us out tremendously when speaking to our family and understanding what to expect. Our grandmother absolutely loved it there. She said the physical therapy staff was so kind. She also said that she feels stronger than she's been in years. Strangely enough her handwriting has also got much better after rehab. It's so co... read more
This rehab has an incredible staff, in that they all seem to love their jobs and not even one staff member fails to treat patients with kindness and dignity. Forget about other factors this is what counts. The person who has a handle on everything, Angie is at the front desk. She seems to set the mood for the entire facility knows everything does not ever fail to succeed and accommodate all with kindness competency and great compassion. Truly her talents are incredible. With her and the caring staff i prefer to mention o... read more
This place is the best Rehab I have ever been in! First thing I noticed was the smell. It didn't smell like most care home pissy and crapy. This place smells clean and fresh. The staff all have smiles and says that are treated like people not slaves. The CNA/NA that took care of me all love there job and have been here for a long time. Some of them go above what they need to do to make you as comfortable as they can. Even if it's just talking to you for a short time. They all have a heart. 98% of the time every time I h... read more
This Skilled nursing facility does a great job at caring for patients of any ethnicity and background. Medicine is universal and the type of care you get is the same. It doesn't matter if your homeless or wealthy, the care is top notch irregardless. The staff knows what they are doing and are very knowlegable, the MD that directs care at Oak River has been practicing in Shasta county for a long time and understands medicine and how to treat many different types of illness. I would not hesitate to bring any loved one here f... read more
What a wonderful experience I had, I spent three months at Oak River and for the most part it was like sharing with family. The staff is friendly and very cautious to make sure that your health and well-being is looked after at all times. The CNA's and the nurses, for the most part, are very helpful, professional and personalble with huge smile's and Ian ability to make you smile and make your day a little bit easier. If there is a downside, I would have to say it is the food. Well everything had good flavor, some of it was... read more
My grandma was a patient of the facility and she did well enough to return home alone following a hip and wrist fracture. Place is not perfect as well no place is. I myself have worked at 3 different facilities and find this is the best as far as patient care is concerned.
