Casino? Not sure if I was at the wrong place. Stopped by on my way out of ocean city with high hopes for this place and left knowing I will never recommend this to anyone. Terrible food, depressed sad faced employees, a waitress told me the payout on the machines was very low and took 15 minutes for a drink and then told me 4.25!!! Never knew being charged for a drink was the norm at a casino. The blackjack machine was fun and the horse racing area is nice. Much like the two little old ladies driving 40mph in the HOV lane.... Just because you can drive in the HOV lane does not mean that you should drive in the HOV lane. The same can be said for every "Casino" that opens up without tables games or any knowledge of what a casino really is. This place is a race track, that happens to have slots not a casino. I have visited once and not felt the need to repeat. It was about as exciting as a visit to the library. Very low payout on slots regardless of the denomination. Hard to get past the rudeness of the staff who I spoke to just one time when getting a rewards card. The man was very condescending for no apparent reason. Non-smoking was the only positive aspect of this visit.

Stopped by Ocean Downs on a Saturday night after dinner for a cocktail and some slots and was bored by this casino pretty quickly. I was very suprised by how expensive drinks were, most casinos do the opposite to entice gamblers. I understand that they only have slots but even that did not live up to my meager expectations. If you want to hit a casino I would recommend making the hour drive north to Harringtons. Just nothing to draw me back here.

Attended. Gambled, lost a little which is what I expected. But that was it. If you come to sit and pull levers, it is for you. Nothing else to do, not a very pleasant atmosphere, the food is not that good and the drinks are not that cheap. The machines offer little to the "low" roller but there are plenty for the high roller. Not at all like Harrington or Dover in Delaware, only a short distance away....and tax free. I did not expect a lot, and got just that. I am local also.

So....yah. One star, here goes. My boyfriend had never been to a casino..and I thought, well damn..let's go see what this one has...we're in a vacation town...on vacation. Looks like the people backing this place have shelled out some bucks to make it look appealing - I was excited! Should've looked it up on Yelp, could've prevented a lame experience, would've saved some money. I've been to better casinos in Whatcom County, Washington in the boonies than this one! Really, I'm not that picky when it comes to casinos. I don't expect a Las Vegas or Atlantic City quality gambling house to be found at a race track near Ocean City. But I do look for three things in a casino and this didn't deliver on any of them. These three things are: 1) An atmosphere of excitement with hawt dealers to look at. Now I was there around midnight, so the crowd was bound to be a little down (i.e. homeless people come into a few dollars). But there were only video table games. This place looks like fun from the outside but once inside the place is horrible, and yes I did actually come out ahead on the slots. When I went outside to the smoking area I noticed that everyone out there was an employee. They were all complaining about the operations and acting very unprofessional. In other words the staff seemed to be hanging out, which surprised me. The Security was harassing people for the most obscure reasons.
