I'm not really sure where all the negative reviews are coming from. I'm guessing based on the comments that they were written from an "in-patient" perspective, to which I've not had any experience with. However, the outpatient part here has been nothing but amazing. They communicate very well, they are direct with no BS, accommodating and work with you to actually assist, instead of creating more stressors. I have known and worked with the staff at OHP for the past 10 years. As a Psychiatric Professional I understand how some people might feel that they received less than adequate care after being admitted on an involuntary admision. However, when a person attempts suicide or is suffereing from Mental Illness or Substance Abuse issues, often times their care is put in the hands of professionals to do what is best for the patient. If i could give no stars i would first off, we have tried for days and days to get the pin u need to even talk or ask questions and we are always told they can't get the pin from the patient, and a legal guardian of a patient can't even get the pin. The workers are of no help of trying to get people to be able to visit or ask questions about things that are going on and how a patient is doing. you was unable to sleep due to people screaming all night or talking loudly. the should also have a place to put the really dangerous and concerning patients. also, my clothes got stolen 3 times by 2 different people. one girls bed got urinated on. covers and all

Mistreating patients and the place smells really bad. Racism is also a thing, they will make fun of you if your English isn't the best. Don't recommend.

If they treat family members calling to discuss loved ones in the facility with very simple and expected questions the way they do, I can only imagine how they treat those receiving care. Well, you don't have to imagine very hard-- there are plenty of testimonies on Yelp, Google, Birdeye, and even by former employees on Indeed and other professional sites. This place is just a warehouse. They are very uncaring & mistreat patients. In the middle of the night, I was feeling fearful & wanted to go into the day room. As I was walking down the hall, the guard told me to stop, and when I tried to walk past him, he grabbed me, flung me around and let go. I banged my head into the wall and had a headache & nosebleed for several days after that. These people are more like guards than caring professionals. The worst experience ever with the ER- hurt child, completely talked down to, overlooked- hours and we couldn't leave. I'd never take my child there again. he was taken by ambulance and I'd never recommend the ER.
