I would get this is 0 Stars if I could. This place doesn't know how to treat its patients. I was a student at a local college and called that college to let them know where I was and OHP would not let anyone from the college talk to me. They wouldn't even tell me someone called for me. They wouldn't even let my parents talk to me. So before I knew it I fell off the face of the Earth and I had cops looking for me worst place ever. This place needs to be shut down.

This place needs to be closed I shouldn't have friends leaving this hospital feeling much worse than when they went in. I've now had to friends go to this hospital and both have said they never once saw a social worker and only a certified doctor once. They care that is given at this hospital is way below average grade they do not even deserve a star they deserve to be closed.

A loved one of mine is currently in their care and let me say that I have never been more concerned for her than I have ever been, while she's been hospitalized. She has be in care of other facilities before and none of them has ever reach the level of dissonance between a patient and caregiver that this place has showed. She has asked numerous times about her release and the only response given that was spoken in a snarky manner was "I don't have the time" leaving her with no knowledge about her case. She has filed multiple... read more

My adult daughter was transferred to this "facility" when she attempted suicide and having depression/anger issues. She was taken in at 2 am from LMH hospital and was pink slipped. When she arrived at this "facility" a "social worker" made her sign a paper in regards to involuntary release. This form was never explained to her in detail nor was she in a state of mind for her to sign such a legal document. She was in general population floor and never saw a medical profession if they even have one on staff. She didn't receive... read more

This hospital is one of the worst hospitals that I've ever been to in my life. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone. This hospital is a danger to the mental health system. Normally in a regular psychiatric hospital, you get seen by a Dr. or Nurse Practitioner everyday...You might get seen maybe every other day or maybe not even that. The MHA'S are completely rude, disrespectful and have no bedside manner at all. They always have a negative attitude when you ask them to do things that they are getting paid to do. The ... read more

Believe the negative reviews. I was there for about 5 days after having "suicidal thoughts." That's right. Just thoughts. I didn't actually DO anything, not even cutting. I was on my best behavior even with the rude, inconsiderate and humiliating way they treated me. I went to group therapy and kept all my visits with social workers and counselors. Yet they would've kept me even longer if I hadn't signed a 3 day notice! But let me give you some examples of things that happened during my stay: 1. They humiliated me by handin... read more

I was treated for five days after a suicide attempt. Upon arrival, they took away ALL of my psychiatric medications (ativan, lamictal, lexapro). I had a panic attack and the nurses made fun of me and told me to "look at myself", demonstrating a clear misunderstanding of what a panic attach is. I was told that if I took a shower (cold water), I could see my fiance, which did not occur. More than 20 hours later, I saw the psychiatrist, Dr. Rayani. She did not put me back on any of my prescribed medications, so I was in a dange... read more

Oh No! Don't even think that this is a hospital. It's more like a prison. I had a stroke for I have masses in my brain that the emergency room at Berger Hospital did not find the new ones that are in the center of my brain. It took 16 days trying to pretend that I was not sick to get out of there. That's the last time I'll just do anything to get a ride to Columbus as I didn't have anyone to drive me to Riverside Hospital. NIGHTMARE1

Like many former patients of this psychiatric hospital, I would give it no stars if Yelp gave the option. My odyssey into the bowels of Hell on Earth began when I made the stupid error of attempting suicide by drug overdose on 09/27/16. First, I was transported by EMS to a nearby emergency room where I evaluated for the drug overdose and then "pink-slipped" and transported to Ohio Hospital For Psychiatry (OHP). Upon arriving at OHP, I was still strapped appropriately to a gurney. Now mind you, I had taken a drug overdose..... read more
