Dr. Choutca is kind and compassionate, but explains medications and procedures without sugar coating and without talking "down" to patients. I would highly recommend him.
Dr. Choutka cares about his patients and takes the time to listen and explain. I feel very lucky he was on call when we need him. Boise is lucky to have such a great doctor.
Ondrej is awesome his bed side manor is above and beyond he takes the time to explain everything to you after 4 failed back surgery s in Seattle I came to Kentucky and he fixed my baby you don't get a better Dr then Ondrej he is the best
He is a great surgeon a wonderful person he was very attentive after surgery and is just a great doctor all the way around i would definitely recommend him to any one im from south point Ohio he did my surgery and i went home 3 days later he saved my life and any one would be lucky to have him
Outstanding neurosurgeon - I was very impressed in his ability to diagnose a spinal issue causing pain AND in his caring mannerism. He was not in a hurry during the initial office first visit and he came in pre-op to explain things once again in a very professional way that put me at ease - and answered all of my questions clearly and without being hasty or condescending - excellent doctor and an excellent result with the surgery. (Only complaint is that his office doesn't answer the phone.)
They do have staff and time to promote this doctor online but no appointments in weeks and no responses on phone calls. The staff can’t even get my medication refilled request handled. MA and staff drama in exam room. Being called “nice” , that tells you something else.
He could not do anything for my situation. No one picked up the phone at the office for 20 minutes. Terrible
Very disappointed. I was referred by Dr. Harris neurologist to see this provider, took 3 months to him him and ended up with PA, that will now ask him if surgery is appropriate. More waiting ??
I’ve been aware of my chiari malformation since I was 15. During childbirth, my OB and anesthesiology consulted with Dr. Choutka about the epidural. They told me he said “to follow up with him after, he’d be happy to see me.” I put it off for a while cause in my numerous experiences with neurology, few of the doctors are any good. When I finally worked up the nerve to try, I received a message that they “reviewed my file and there is no Chiari so follow up with your PCM about your “headaches””.
