By a wall plug with it I was able to use this only on a practice run before the brand new batteries died. It does not come with a wall plug. The ribbon was pretty but it machine should definitely come with a plug. Also there is hardly any ribbon. I would be sure to buy supplies when ordering this.

Doesn't work! No matter how many new batteries I put in, did not work! Then try and get any kind of Brother support, what a joke.
all proprietary, and no power adapter Pros: this is very easy to use, and creates lovely designs and beautifully printed ribbons. It's really perfect for gift items and decorative labels. however, the cons outweigh the pros. First, it uses AAA batteries and really goes through them. Disappointment, to say the least. You may ask why I have given them a one star? A review to others? The print is NOT permanent I bought this thinking to make custom tags for the garments I make, but was sadly disappointed when I noticed that after one laundry cycle, the print had disappeared! I suppose it may work for dry-cleaned garments, but haven't tested it. Also, it's not all that easy to use, sort of old-school, lots of button pushing. The screen is very small, so it's hard to gauge what the tag really looks like before printing it.
I like the product but disappointed that u can only use ... I like the product but disappointed that u can only use the ribbon provided which does not give you a lot of length when printing, and it cost $10 for one. Which I was able to use any type of ribbon with it. The cost of printing per cartridge is not worth it for my business. Maybe if I was able to print 50 it would be better.
