My mother has been a resident since 2015 and has been treated with the utmost respect and compassion by all the staff and administrators. The apartments and common areas are clean and bright and the gardens are well tended and inviting. I can visit any time and participate in activities with her as well. I am confident Mom, and all the residents, are safe and surrounded by caring people at all times.

My mother has lived at the Commons for the past year and a half. I've been impressed by the care she receives, the competent, friendly and caring staff, and the lovely environment over-all. There are wonderful daily activities scheduled; last week when I was visiting, a talented violinist entertained residents, and a singing group from Stanford University performed during an earlier visit. My mother, who has dementia and mobility issues, has lived in all levels of care at Palo Alto Commons, and has lived in several other facilities in three different counties. PAC is, hands down, the best facility. My impression, from all the staff members I have met, is that they all enjoy their jobs and truly care about the residents. I have toured this facility and met many people who live here over several years. Both the residents and their families have consistently had positive things to say about their residency at the Palo Alto Commons. They are locally owned, have long term staff, seem to be compassionate in relation to their clients, and more. You would be lucky to make this place home, or be comforted to know your family member or friend would be well cared for here.

Palo Alto Commons is without a doubt the best assisted living and dimentia care provider on the Peninsula, if not throughout California. The staffs dedication to the residents their is endless. If your looking for this type of facility for a loved one this community should be at the top of your list.

These place is very unfair and racist, they don't even take the employee side they always listen to one side of the story without both side defend themself.one of the worst care quality plus the have lot of of residence and only two caregivers worst place ever. Don't recommend working or even having you loved one stay here plus Diana is very rude and unfair went to talk and find out some information and was quick out rudely one of the worst experiences ever.

This community USED TO BE the best senior living in the bay area but since the take over by Well Quest Living and the new director Li Li, it has deteriorated. Palo Alto Commons was the place with the highest level of care, the lowest staff turnover and highest longevity, and the best management in the business until the new management. This place has gone downhill quickly ever since it was bought by WellQuest. It used to be a place where people enjoyed to work and residents enjoyed to live. It's now a dreadful place to work and a place that is lacking in many areas in terms of care for the residents. During the tour, people are being lied to and told that there are always 3 nurses on duty when in actuality most days we are lucky to even have 1 nurse for BOTH facilities (Palo alto commons & Avant). This review is based solely on what happened today with LiLi. My mother in law passed away early Sunday morning. (today is Tuesday) We took everything out of the room with the exception of one easy lift chair. We asked the staff if another patient could use it and were told yes. So, we left it. Today LiLi called and said that we had to remove the chair or she would charge us continued rent on the room. ( about $600/day) I explained to her that we left it because someone else needed it.
