Great customer service. Handled the changeover from another payroll company. I love my payroll rep. Easy to talk to and very efficient.
I absolutely loathe a day I decided to sign up for Paychex to handle my company's payroll needs. In the beginning, I had ONE employee, he lived in Philadelphia another time. I had Paychex set up all my accounts and everything they needed from day one. Here you are years later and they still can't get it right. If i could leave a negative star review i would, i don't even know where to start. it would probably be easier to list the things they are good at..... well now that that's out of the way. Run away from this company it is two marks away from being a straight up scam.

Since Feb 2025 my employer and myself have contacted Paychex to get a corrected W-2. They stated 5 weeks it takes for a corrected W-2 to be sent. It's May 14th and still nothing. You can't even talk to anyone at Paychex they tell you to email your account rep because they don't work in an office. They are by far the worst payroll company I have ever encountered. If I could give negative 10 stars I would.
Don't walk - run from this company! Polite by email but our rep never added the new director nor controller after 5 months. They just forwarded emails which then bounced back to them as it was their responsibility. When you want ti change things customer service will always send you back to your rep even if they are unresponsive. The rep will also ask you things they are supposed to know related to filing so you do your job for them. One of the worst experiences I've had.
Paychex's customer service representatives are polite but are not responsive or knowledgeable!!! I have been using them for years and they honestly suck and the hassle of dealing with the communication is terrible. Nobody reads emails and the specialists are out of office almost daily. They have over-drafted my account more than once. They ran payroll 2x in one day this week again and now my account as received fees and the specialist still can't get it right to return the correct full amount.
