We moved to the Sacramento area a few years ago and were referred to Pediatric Medical Associates by some friends. In the 3 years that our teenage daughter has been seen at this office, she has never been seen by the same doctor twice. The few times we have needed them for anything we don't hear back. Once I contacted them through their website and I never got a response. Another time they ran some blood work and advised we should see a specialist. Dr. Gould is absolutely amazing, unfortunately you have to go through the front desk first. my child just broke her arm and we just called to ask if we were still patients because we haven't used this office in awhile. The women who called back was so rude and condescending. she needs to consider retirement because she clearly hates her job.

We have 3 kids ages 10-21. Dr. Gould was my kids PCP since they were born. My kids have seen by many providers at PMA. They have received care from Dr Budd, Dr Agee, Dr Lloren and a host of Physician Assistants whom have all been fantastic. Unfortunately, my son has been seen on a couple of instances by Dr Nutting who has a terrible bedside manner and is flat out rude. We moved to Sacramento not long before finding this office. Dr. Agee was great with our kids and seemed quite kind and listened to a lot of my concerns regarding our special needs children. As time went on and we needed referrals for non educational purposes to neurologists.. etc she became combative and condescending in her response to granting referrals. I really wanted to like this office! We had a great well check up, the doctor and the nurse were both wonderful and it was a good appointment. The front desk staff were not the friendliest but that was fine. My problem is I called in for advice on Monday 1/31/21 at 8 am when the website says they open, I was transferred to the after hours line and gave all my info and was told someone would call me shortly. I recommend Dr Budd or Dr Agee, they are excellent doctors. My children have seen them for years and have received nothing but exceptional care from them. Dr Nutting lacks bedside manners and carries himself so arrogantly. He was on-call when my son spiked a fever, when I explained my concerns he responded with "what do you want me to tell you, I can't evaluate him without seeing him". If you are looking for a pediatrician to establish a relationship with and know and care about your child and their health then please look elsewhere. If you want a basic clinic experience lacking personal care and accountability then this is the place. As a new parent I took my first two children here. I felt shuffled around between doctors and nurse practitioners who didn't take the time to know their patients. I'm trying to find a good physician for when my daughter is born and they are "closed to all medi-cal patients" instead they refer you to a horrible clinic with absolutely disgusting reviews. I don't want to be treated like a POS because I have to be on medi-cal. I want an office with good reviews for not only myself but my child. Don't call these people and start blasting those who discriminate against others who can't have top notch health insurance.
