We have two senior kitties whom we adore. We’ve been seeing Dr. Justine McKinnon, whom I cannot recommend more. She is thorough, caring, dedicated, and deeply informed and great at explaining complexities. She is great with follow up on test results, etc. Overall, I am confidant that all the veterinarians here are extremely capable. If you have senior kitties or a pet family member that has a complex health issue that your general veterinarian cannot solve, it can be solved here.

We have come to Pender twice now with two different dogs for an emergency visit and they have been so incredible both times. They are very thorough in their work and also warm and kind from the front office staff to the vets and vet techs. We will always recommend Pender.

They consistently take such good care of my dogs. They helped me with Bella several years ago after she got into some chewed gum. And they took such good care of Sparky a few days ago. He had blood in his stool. They gave me a chart showing what they could do and the potential costs. I opted for all the things. They confirmed his kidney issues and checked for so many other things. They gave him subcutaneous fluids for possible dehydration and some medicine. And they sent home 2 more medicines with me to give him. H... read more

Fig Newton has been a Pender client since birth and LOVES going to Pender for any reason (yesterday it was just a nail trim) but he always gets good care - from sickness, to preventative, to orthopedic, to weight loss, he has had amazing human friends at Pender. Bri was awesome with my little guy, drama and all. She was friendly, professional, and caring, and didn’t seem to mind that she was peed on and had to deal with his “code brown”. Always happy with our visits there.

Pender is great. Not the cheapest, but anytime I need real care for the pets, I definitely take them there because they do a lot of their tests onsite without having to send them out to a lab, plus they have more advanced equipment for more involved care. Plus they are open 24/7 and have ER services too. I hate the thought of having a procedure done, then my local vet being closed when my pet is not doing well.
