ANIMAL ABUSE. We are healthcare travelers and our dogs have been to daycares all over the country, this location along with charlottesville pet paradise have been the worst weve ever encountered. When I emailed to ask about the abrasion on one of our pups paws they attempted to blame him; I received no response after the initial email back despite my cordial and obvious interest in what happened. Started a new in office job, starting bringing my dog here because I was anxious about leaving him home alone all day, and wanted to transition him slowly. Since I've worked from home since he was 7 weeks old. His free first day visit was fine. I got photo updates and a cute little report card. His second visit was Ok. No photos, no report card. I've never written a bad review before in my life, but I'm starting here. We booked a grooming appointment for our almost 5 month, 6.5lb puppy to get a basic haircut. Dropped him off for his appointment at 1pm and they say to expect him to be done by 5pm. That's a long time but ok, I'm sure they will take care of him as they have so many dog amenities there for play and free roaming and he's had all his shots so he can be around other small dogs. We took our two 9 month old frenchie pups for a 3 day, 2 night stay. They were roomed together and because they aren't neutered yet, they had solo play time - minimum amount of time with other dogs. We brought them home Friday night and by Sunday both dogs were showing signs of illness. I spent $1000 on Sunday to take one to the emergency vet to be told it was likely kennel cough that had turned into pneumonia. The dogs in Tiny Town don't get to go outside, and are forced to use the bathroom in the play area. I noticed a lot of pee and poop on the floor while checking out the cameras. Between about 9am-4pm, my dog was either stuck in a crate, or was playing in the filthy play area (for a total of about 1hr). We were told he'd be taken back to his individual room that had outside access while not playing, but I guess that's too much work. You can forget the advertised splash pad.

I hope they took good care of our dogs while we were away, but not sure. Paid extra for play time (dog day camp), but never saw the dogs on the webcams so not sure if we paid and just didn't get the service?? I tried calling the day of pickup 4-5 times and got voice mail every time. Asked for someone to call me back as soon as possible but never received call backs. This was my dogs 2nd and last visit at this location or ANY Pet Paradise establishment for that matter. My 3 small dogs were boarded at this location for a week in December of 2022. My family went on a cruise for Christmas during that week. Being that we were on a ship with no Wi-Fi or the staff having the ability to contact me; I was unable to be reached by staff when they wanted to bath all 3 dogs prior to pick up because they were "smelly". Let's start with the good. First off, the facility is brand new and beautiful. It looked and smelled clean! Let's move on to the bad. I was told that my submissive pup would go through an acclimation and assessment process (private kennel to start, meeting staff, meeting selected dogs, and then the entire play-pack).
