My experience with the company was okay. They were pretty responsive when we called.
There was a snag at the beginning when they realized, after beginning to dig, that the AC unit was on top of the oil tank and they'd have to call someone in to move it before digging could continue. That delayed things a few days, but thereafter they did a good job of digging and were very careful with our trees. They also took care not to ruin the lawn with the machinery. The new tank and heater were quickly put in the basement with no problems.
They were on time to do the job. They were personable people. The quality of their work was really good. I would use them in the future. I thought the price was generally fair.
PETRO ALWAYS DELIVERS OIL AS NEEDED. THE SERVICE CONTRACT HAS SAVED US LOTS OF MONEY. THE ANNUAL CLEANING OF THE OIL BURNER PLUS ANY SERVICE REQUIRED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR IS ALWAYS COVERED. IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY THEY ARE OUT WITHIN A FEW HOURS OF THE CALL.
I AM BUYING A HEATER SERVICE CONTRACT FROM PETRO THIS YEAR.
THE TWO MEN WERE PUNCTUAL AND VERY POLITE. MY HUSBAND AND I WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK.
Worst service I’ve ever have experienced. They wanted to sell me the product, never told me that there was an early termination fee and another penalty for an initial offer they gave me. Had double charges every month, once for the oil they provided (which they never told me they were going to provide before coming. They just came without my knowledge and then I find a high amount bill) and another for an “automatic payment” for 500 that they never could explain. I was always called a "valued" customer by their people. No wonder, I finally got around to shopping for oil and found a local reputable heating oil supplier and service for slightly over $1 less per gallon! Service was fine but given what I now have I was paying far more for EQUAL service. This is a large conglomerate of bought up oil companies. Not even local to me.

Got a new house and inherit the name of the heating oil provider from a sticker on the burner. Talked to them on the phone (twice). Got really bad experience (twice). The so-called "customer service" (last time it was Jason who drove me nuts) instead of giving prices for their variable plan, tried to nail you into a fixed price plan and extract information 'how low is the level in your tank'.
