This is the second visit. The first visit I was turned away even though I had an appointment AND insurance ( but due to it being a " third party " injury ) they waited until I got there IN EXTREME PAIN to tell me they wouldn't see me. I told them about the insurance when I made the appointment, so why didn't they tell me that? Second appointment was for my son. He needed diagnosis for a probable sinus infection. Parents need to know about Physicians Immediate Care's Urgent Care policy re: consent to treat of a minor. I was told they do not treat minors without a parent or legal guardian. We were then advised by Mara (front desk clerk) and by the nurse it is their right to refuse treatment if the provider is not comfortable providing treatment and / or with the age of the person given consent for a minor. I was charged $360 for a sinus infection. I could've went to Walgreens and paid a third of the price I was not given any pricing when I got there the receptionist was very rude. Go anywhere but here unless you want to pay a fortune to be treated poorly.
This place clearly takes advantage of lost patients that are in the wrong place. When a patient has Edwards insurance and comes there, you should direct them to Edwards...across the parking lot! Rude staff with a "know it all attitude". Word to the wise...walk across the parking lot and go to Edwards!
