I had the best experience to date on Monday. I was checked in and out of there within an hour. The NP and medical assistant were both extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Karan explained everything very well and even told/showed me exercises I could do to speed my recovery along. The medical assistant (unfortunately I didn’t catch her name) even showed me how to put the lace up ankle support on. Very, very pleased with my visit!
We needed a sports physical, so we ended up here. They charge $60.00. The wait is ridiculous anytime you go to urgent care, and this time was no different. 4 people total checked in at the time of our visit. We were the 4th ones, of course. It took over 2 hours until we were brought back to a room. Once back there, another 15- 20 minutes waiting. N.P. Karan Thomas is the one who sees us. I thought I would write a review of my experience here at the urgent care as I’ve been sitting here for almost 3 hours now. I would have spent the same amount of time at an ER. They couldn’t figure out my billing even though I am VA and they show they serve the VA on the counter. They had me fill out an iPad and then wait for almost 2 hours. Just wanted to say thank you to the staff, especially Dr. Valorie and Gilbert for being so amazing and calm with our 7yr old! She was super panicked before arriving, but they made her so comfortable! They talked to her gently and went slow, explained each step before moving forward. Today, she got her very first Stitches, but I could not have imagined a better outcome!
