I had taken my Maltese there ever since I got her. Although the staff all seemed nice & caring, I kind of had mixed emotions when she developed this hacking cough over a period of time. I kept taking her in & all they did was tell me to put her on Benadryl; that it was probably just allergies. My dog died in pain all through that night. On the day before my dog died, his health visibly and physically deteriorated so I called PPAH and asked Dr. D for help. It was about 20 minutes before the closing time of 7 o'clock. I explained to Dr. D that my dog looked to be in a critical condition. My dog had collapsed on the floor and was shaking. He advised me to put the prescription dosage back to the proviso level and watch him for 2 days but never suggested to bring him in to PPAH immediately or take him to another emerg... read more

I have been going to Pinnacle Peak Animal Hospital for about 10 years and have never had an issue or been mistreated. UNTIL TODAY!!! I had an appointment scheduled and called to reschedule it as I had an obligation to stay at. In that Phone call, They said that I had to Pre-pay for my visit!! I had a horrible and heartbreaking experience with this place. I brought my 14 year old dog there on a Thursday for dental cleaning. Within a few days he started vomiting and was very lethargic. Up until the dental cleaning he was the picture of health. Within a few days he became very ill and I took him back there to see what was wrong. After a full day there and $700 later he was not responding well to the fluids and drugs they gave him and they decided he needed 24 hour care and referred him to VetMed AZ.
