My new Polaris 3900 works perfectly. It cleans all the pool from the bottom to the walls.
The P-39 is doing ok in the deep end of the pool but I can’t get it to spend much running time in the shallow end. It will most likely take me getting in the pool and fine tuning the adjustments. The backup valve is not as strong as the old style as far as moving the unit around the pool. It is doing much better than my old unit.
It’s okay I’d thought it would be better than expected
The instructions that came in the box left something to be desired. I went on line to find the owners manual which gave me more information which enabled me to feel more sure of myself as I assembled the components. There are still adjustments that must be made that I will have to figure out on my own. I hope I made the right decision buying the more expensive Polaris model to replace our old model.
Works as advertised.
So far so good. We have a 20’ x 40’ in ground pool, and it cleans the entire thing in 2 hours. We have it on a timer.
Well it’s just better than the old Polaris-picks up more, navigates stairs and corners better
We had a Pentair Racer that had never worked well from day one. We were continually having to replace parts on it. We could have purchased a new one for the cost of parts over the last 4 years. We upgraded to the Polaris 3900 this spring. Upgraded is such an understatement. It cleans so much better in about half the time and it doesn't get hung up on the steps.
