Definitely picks up sand, but if you have a gunite pool, that can cause problems We have lots of trees over our pool, and so a cleaner like a Polaris is a must. Our pool is also older (built in the 60s) and the bottom drain hasn't worked since we bought the house. So it's even more important for us to have a solid non-filter cleaning option. High quality replacement bag for Polaris Great for an extra bag and the quality seams higher than the original. Does not really look to be trapping sand from the pool, but is still great to have interchangeable bags. I can pause the sweeper while I switch bags and allow the debris to dry so it comes out more easily.
Excellent product! Works wonders in our pool. Vacuums up the smallest debris. Excellent product!

I like that it keeps all of the small debris and ... I like that it keeps all of the small debris and sediment in the bag. I also prefer the velcro (which this has) compared to the zipper opening which the bag that comes with the Polaris has.
WOW - A MUST HAVE Product These are a MUST HAVE for pool owners who want a really clean pool. These will trap small particles and sand. About $14 cheaper than if you buy at your local pool store.
Four Stars This lasts a little longer than others I have tried.
Good but small A well-made bag, but small, and velcro is a scum and debris magnet. I like the larger, zippered model better.
