Does what it suppose to do The OEM bag ripped near the seams after 3+ years, but it's probably my own doing because I usually don't empty it until it's full. So I decided to pick this up to see how well it stacks up against the OEM bag. I'll wait and see how long this will last but so far it does a great job of picking up the fine particles resting on the bottom of the pool. Works great for sand & silt This is the second I've bought. The first lasted just over a year, 8 hrs/day and 365 days/yr. I live way out in the country with loose soil that loves to blow into my pool. These bags REALLY REALLY REALLY do a fantastic job of catching the dust and silt and they're super easy to rinse clean. They fit my Polaris 360 perfectly, too.
Its a real bag and it filters fine particles. It filters trash from the bottom of the pool. My only issue with these bags, and Polaris products in general, is that they appear to be engineered to fail at a certain point. I realize they have a harsh chemical environment that they operate under, but Im amazed engineers cant come up with a material that resists wear better than what Polaris uses in the construction of this and their other parts.
Great in getting sand out of the pool. Best price online for these sand and silt bags. They have really helped keep our pool clean this summer especially with two dogs in and out of it.
Poor Polaris I thought the silt bag would be good for Florida as we have a lot of leaves, flower petals, pine stuff etc. but I was wrong. As the debris was collected it didn't allow the water to flow through and Polaris got too heavy and fell over. When I switched back to the mesh bag he was fine. Not worth the extra money for the silt feature.
Silt bad replacement This fine mesh bag works great. It picks up the fine dirt/sand from the bottom of my pool making it much cleaner. Good product.
Worked very well for me. It is easier to clean out the bag when the bag is dry, so I got this as a second one. I now pull off one bag, put it aside, get the dry bag (very easy to clean) and install it. Makes my life easier. The only complaint is that my Polairis 360 original bag has a plastic clip that hooked to the tubing to keep the bag upright, this one has a Velcro strap, that is just about at it's max (it overlaps about 1/4 inch). this is not a problem now, (I had it 2 weeks) but I could see this needing some impromptu ... read more
Good product This silt bag is great for picking up the small dirt and debris that remains in the pool after "normal" cleaning with the Polaris.
Silt bag - different than "mesh" bag I had noticed a difference in terminology but didn't realize how different they are. I have an electric pool cover so get very few leaves but there was always silt on the bottom. This fine mesh silt bag picked up handfuls of fine silt from the bottom [plus the leaves, pine needles, etc. When removing the Polaris from the pool, nothing washes out of the bottom.
