I’ve been using my Polaris MAXX for a couple of months now and so far, I’m very happy with it. I have used the Kreepy Krauly for 30 years and, always thought that it did a great job - and it did. But, I believe the MAXX actually does better. I read some negative reviews that stated it wouldn’t pick up sticks and large debris, well, here’s a news flash - “none of them will”! The cleaner works very well and my pool stays very clean. This is a replacement for the Zodiac MX8. In comparison to the Zodiac MX8, the Polaris MAXX just doesn't perform as well as the Zodiac. The unit moves much slower than the MX8 and doesn't climb walls as well either. The suction intake underneath is very small in comparison to the MX8 therefore it takes longer to get the pool clean after heavy winds have come through blowing leaves into the pool.
