It is wonderful! It not only scrubs and vacuums the bottom, but climbs up to the tiles and scrubs them too.

I need to operate the pool pump at its maximum rpm in order to get enough suction pressure for the cleaner to effectively operate. Also the cleaner becomes clogged from small debris.

We recommend removing the inlet adapter at the bottom of the cleaner to help larger debris pass through. The most reliable, least likely to be clogged or stuck, of any suction cleaner I’ve ever owned, with the widest range of acceptable flows that keep it from climbing into the air or stalling. The tubing seems a little less UV-resistant than previous models. Some of the sections “unraveled” after one season, though it may have just been that sunny (almost no rainy season). Overall, A+

Since all I had for 10 years was the Hayward Navigator this review is easy. The Polaris MAXX is far superior in every way! I should have gotten rid of the Navigator years ago. In over a year I have had NO problems at all with the MAXX.
