I rate the Polaris P 39 a 5,0 on a 5.0 star basis. All of the pool is exceptionally clean. The bag is easy to remove and clean. After some initial time of the hose getting wrapped within itself, the longer the hose is stretched out in the pool after use, the better the supply hose performs. I am happy with this pool sweep and glad I made the purchase. I have owned the Polaris P 39 for seven (7) months.
I found after several weeks my bag was badly worn on both sides. I found that sometimes the bag gets caught in the wheels and then the P39 stops on the floor or goes very slowly. I told Polaris I think they have a design flaw. At least they sent me a new bag. When it's running it does a great job of cleaning, much better than my 380.
I had my first Polaris for 18 years. Replaced it with the Polaris Sport last year. As with the original Polaris, the sport has allowed me never to vacuum my pool by hand. The pool is always spotless I couldn't be happier with the product.
Works as expected and doesn't require much maintenance just what we need.
It does what it says it does! Ignore the comments below regarding the tail the adjustments are well documented and easy to perform. This is a solid pool cleaner and a wise investment if you have a booster pump.
It cleans for a while then it stops and then it starts up again sometimes it just float is that normal. Just replaced my Polaris 380 with this P 39 it's about two weeks old .
The bag release push-button does absolutely nothing - only way to remove bag is to GENTLY twist it from body and lift. Dual chamber bag is difficult to clean - it really takes 3 hands to do it. Overall, though, the P39 does a good job of vacuuming up debris and covering every part of pool, including the sides and swim-outs.

I have read several reviews on the web and all have the same thing to say about the tail sweep. Basically that it does nothing but drag behind. SOLUTION: On the rear of the unit, you can adjust the movement of the tail sweeper to make it very fast or dead slow. Read the manual folks. I am having an issue with the hose getting crossed up as I did with the 380 I had. Thus one reason for replacing it. Very aggravating.
