Polaris PCX 852
I have a 27 foot round, above ground pool- 20 years old and still in very good condition ! My previous pool cleaner stopped working. The Polaris 852 is the replacement. It is a bigger machine , it cleans the floor and the walls and I love how easy it is to retrieve from the pool !!

It is easy to clean but it doesn’t go up to the top of the pool.

Hi Rosalie, We’re sorry your cleaner isn’t climbing the walls. It may be the case that the filter canister is full or dirty. Try cleaning the filter canister thoroughly with soap and a soft brush. Another issue could be that the walls are slippery. Although the water seems clear, microscopic algae may be present in the pool. This unit performs well , the only areas of the pool that do not get cleaned are the corners.

I see two issues with this cleaner: - The timer is fixed for 1.5 hrs for the floor selection and can't be changed. 1.5hrs is simply not enough. - The cleaner misses spots and I have to rerun after the 15 hrs has expired. - I have a concrete pool (no liner) with a small section on the pool floor (about 1' by 3') that is not flat. The clear goes there and gets stuck. It tries to climb the pool wall but never succeeds and simply get stuck in the area and remain on the pool wall.

The robot works great and was simple to set up. My only question is the robot stopped on 2 separate occasions. Is this the result of the unit reading the pool has been cleaned and is done. When I hit the "Lift Button" the unit when to the side so I could retrieve it
