RecommendedEver since Vera recently got diagnosed with a liver shunt, she has been going to Poquoson Vet. This medical condition requires a special, more expensive diet. Went to go pick up more of Vera’s food & they had an overstock of it. Got at least $150 worth of free food. They just gave it to me. At least 3-4 months worth. 😭 So happy!

RecommendedI had an emergency situation where my parrot was injured by a cat. They got us in right away and also let me borrow a crate. The doctor also called the next day to check on my bird. That is true compassion. Means a lot that people still genuinely care and love their work.

RecommendedThey have been wonderful with my Senior aged dog and always very kind and nice when I came in with my dog. I love the friendliness and the kindness the staff and doctors have shown, especially when I had put my sweet dog to sleep after her health started to fail. They were so understanding and patient with me and I highly recommend them. The best staff and doctors one could ask for, and I am so thankful I chose this place when we moved here.

RecommendedMy regular vet is still under the guideline of I stay in the car, they take my dog. Don’t like that. Poquoson vet was recommended to me & they let pet parents come in with a mask. A week ago, he was having trouble going down the stairs & just not himself. She did bloodwork (which came back perfect) & prescribed a pain medication. He’s been great all week, easily navigating the steps. Last night he’s throwing up & didn’t eat much of anything. Called them & was told to come in. RecommendedI work at another clinic, but we mainly specialize in cats and dogs, so I had been bringing my rabbit, Bun Bun, there for several years. They were always quick at getting him in for appointments. We had to say goodbye to him this month. Dr. Williams, Annette, and the girl assisting Dr. Williams(I am so sorry she was wearing a name tag and I just didn't realize her name...long blonde hair/tan) were incredibly nice. RecommendedWe have been taking Our Babies to PVH for 10 years now... We have NEVER had an issue or ever been mistreated.... The Staff are always friendly & helpful. And Dr Ashworth has been SO AMAZING.... We trust her and the staff completely!!! We had been using another vet prior in Hampton.... Until we found bruising on our 1 year old Chihuahua after having been in this other Vets care. And since then, we HAPPILY drive to Poquoson for all our Babies needs. And will continue to do so! :-)
RecommendedWe took our guinea pig here when he was sick with a URI and bladder infection. They were incredibly helpful and worked with us on payments for the medications needed. A few days after our piggie passed away. They sent us a card in the mail with their condolences and everyone there signed it. It was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. I highly recommend using them for your pet. ❤
