For all of my friends who will be moving off campus soon, I highly recommend Prairie Hills! The apartments are super well kept, it’s close to everything, it is super quiet and peaceful, the area is very safe, and management and maintenance are incredibly kind and helpful!

Great location—within several blocks of everything you’ll need: Grocery stores, restaurants, gyms (The YMCA and Planet Fitness), the mall, movie theater, Decatur bike trail and several great parks, and less than a 10 min drive to downtown. Excellent Campus: Lots of green space—great for pets and kids, with plenty of room between units. Quiet and safe campus with friendly neighbors makes it feel like more of a neighborhood rather than an apartment complex.
Prairie Hills Apartments have some of the best rentals in this area. Me and my other half loved turning our first apartment into a home, thanks to everyone at Prairie Hills. Had no issues at all, i highly recommend renting from Prairie Hills Apartments!!

My wife, dog and I have been living in one of the townhomes on the property and it has been the nicest place I've rented around central IL. Prices for rent are good in comparison to other places! Feels like a secluded neighborhood even though we are right off the main highway in town! The appliances were all new when we moved in. Maintence resolved any issues I've had, including major problems such as an air conditioner not working within 48 hours! (somtimes same-day repairs!) For those who are looking to move into Decatur and are looking for an apartment, you REALLY need to check out Prairie Hill Apartments. Great management staff. Great Maintenance staff. Very responsive. Very affordable.
