He is not approachable. We did not meet personally even I asked for it. Whenever I asked questions it seems like Iím bothering him. As a first time home buyer I donít know anything but he did not explain what I need to know. I have a lot of questions but it seems like he expects that I already know it. I donít recommend him at all.

Lack of communication. No verification of emails when we sent them. Had to resend information, also.

Piecemeal requests for information. Lack of communication from underwriter with myself in terms of what information is needed up front. Kept getting emails with more and more information needed.

It would have been easier on the borrower if all documents needed would have been communicated early on and not something new every week.

I don't think it was Stephen. It was the overwhelming amount of paperwork that was needed and it was right up until the day before closing things were still needed. I had to take time off work and away from family just to gather the information necessary to prove that which I already knew. Having a sit down to discuss the financials and look at the paperwork to prove where each financial was coming from may have helped. In the end it was the law that made this a nightmare.

There was a lack of attention to detail and we were asked to provide a different amount of cash at closing than what was communicated to us 3 days before closing. We had to shell out an additional $200 at closing because of this. He did not seem organized as he would recommend loans that we were not eligible for on our rental property. He did not always seem to have our best interests in mind.
