Great Label Maker! I just received the P-touch label maker. I own other label makers and now wish I would bought one of these years ago. I like the 24mm wide label option as much as anything. I don't like that it uses a lot of tape for the boarders.
Software exceeded my expectations. P-Touch software included with this exceeded my expectations. I intend to use this to label a wiring harness I'm building. I was dreading typing all the little labels on a keyboard (PC or Brother). But with the P-Touch software, I can enter it all into a spreadsheet, order it the way I want, and print a chain of labels. Awesome!
Prints more lines than lesser models; BUT…. My new Brother PT-D600 labeler's big advantage is that you can print more than two lines on a label from 1/2"/12 mm and wider tapes. On a 3/4"/18 mm tape, I can get, four lines of easy-to-see type (Models 1830 & 1880 = 2 lines). In that regard, the PT-D600 saves money spent on labels. However, almost weekly, I'm finding something that isn't listed in the owner's manual. Love it! Don't have any problems with my PTD600 so far. Battery is NOT included. I just took a picture so you may see it runs on 6 AA batteries. USB cable, adapter, and one 24mm tape is included.
Great for Labeling Everything I love this label maker. The Brother user interface (connected to my PC) gives me tons of design choices for anything that needs a label, including mailing addresses. Very easy to use, but it will take you a few minutes to navigate around the program.
My old one finally bit the dust. This replaced ... My old one finally bit the dust. This replaced it. But the down side is I have to throw out the old 1/4" cassettes because of the new printer has an additional alignment pin that doesn't allow the old cartridges to be used.

Everyday I'm labeling Great stand alone or setup with Computer for durable and creative labels. Supports lots of Barcode type images, databases of products imported from an excel spread sheet. I take this out in the field or leave on my desk
