I tried to purchase a large $$ money order today bc it's Sunday and, of course, banks are closed. I can't believe the purchase would not be authorized (not declined, it was about half the amount of the balance in the checking account) I may have lost out on the purchase of a car because I am not allowed access to MY OWN MONEY. Not to mention a few weeks ago, I tried to prepay for a B&B in Canada and JFCU would not authorize, also locking my account for the rest of the weekend. Very Rude Bank. The women who work the phones are very snobbish and treat you like you’re trying to get something for free. Every time I’ve called it’s been an issue. For it to be a credit union,they don’t try to help their members very much.
I was going to open an account with this bank but have decided not to. They are sister Bank to my other bank and I was hoping they would treat me as good as my bank does oh be taking action to get a hold of the right people about my problem. Try talking to the manager about my problem and he had already had his mind made up that his people were in the right I had no chance to even explain my side of the story. Come tomorrow my money is out of this horrible credit union they have a way of embarrassing me from time to time yesterday was the last strike I am done how can I not use my own money I work hard for oh don't worry I will be in there tomorrow and I want to see a manager!
I opened a personal loan to repair my vehicle, I withdrew 50% of the funds from my account and gave it to the shop to start the repair. 5 days later JFCU rescinded the loan and refused to give me the remaining balance of the loan that was in my savings account. JFCU then placed my account in collections and started harassing me daily for me to pay back the full amount of the balance. Horrible experience how do you go into a bank on a Friday with no banker to help you open an account. Worst of all the tellers were rude especially the Asian women.
This review would normally be four stars. This has been the credit union of my family since they first opened up their Park St branch. I have had no problems with them before now, and usually they are very forgiving and willing to work with me with professionalism so this was a shock. Update: The woman I talked to last was a dream.
