A perfect lunch. Perfect menu. Highly recommend.
A good restaurant that I have been to many times in the past. On this date, it was woefully understaffed. My waitress was pleasant and did her best, but there was NO BARTENDER and it took ONE HOUR for my guests and I to get our drink order. The kitchen was slow, but not as bad. If you are looking to dine leisurely, this is your place. If you have somewhere to go after your meal, look elsewhere.
This week day lunch visit was uneven Service attentive and polite but it took food 3/4 hour to arrive. Hamburger and fries good/ chicken good but seafood was lackluster. Branzino was sent back as very salty and shrimp dish was overcooked. Not sure what’s going on, but this was a less than terrific birthday meal. Saving grace was an assortment of good desserts and sweet little chocolate chip cookies
We had a great dinner and really enjoyed the piano player. Many of my group of friends consider this to be the number one place to eat in the neighborhood - great food, ambiance and bar.
I have been here many times but this was the noisiest. They seem to have squeezed in more tables. We enjoyed this restaurant because there used to be more space between tables. In addition there is now an amplified piano and singer. When will restaurant owners realize most customers come with other people and would like to have a conversation without shouting.
Food & Service couldn't have been better - live music on a Friday evening - the side of Lobster Mac & Cheese beyond delicious. Redeye Grill is so consistent in it's quality. Had a 13 year old with who was besides himself that they bought cookies to the table for you to just help yourself to and cotton candy before he had dessert! He has not stopped talking about it and would like to go every day!!
The food was good. The low point was that we were given a to-be-signed credit card receipt that was higher than the original receipt for food and beverage. This has never happened to me in any restaurant, be it in NYC or elsewhere.
Check my Yelp reviews but REG is tops on my list of NY fine dining!
Not nearly as good as it used too b, especially in regard to shrimp
