Great food location and atmosphere
We were seated practically on top of the people next to us. Our food came out before the waiter brought the bottle of wine we ordered. My husband and I split our apps, salad, entree and sides. We told the waiter we were splitting but he did not bring us an extra plate. Our salad came out at the same time as our entree so by the time we finished eating it, our entree was cold. Delicious food and outstanding service. There was live music with a talented piano player and good music choices. A wonderful evening with my family.
The Redeye Grill is still one of the best, most consistently good, restaurants in NYC. My wife and I were in New York after a marriage anniversary trip to California; NYC and the Redeye was the final leg. It did not disappoint. The Caesar salads is still fresh, crunchy, and full of flavor, and the crab cakes and grilled shrimp with mushrooms (3 varieties) and spaghetti squash was to die for! Very nice environment for dinner with live music and delicious dishes
Good food Good service Too crowded Too much noise
Great food and service, but I got seated at the litteral back end of the restaurant, right next to kitchen. I get it that someone has to sit there when the place is packed, but 75% of the 2-party tables were not occupied the whole time. So I heard the waiters scream "corner" the whole time, instead of the music.
Excellent food and nice live piano music from a good singer!
