The food is always terrific at RedEye Grill. But the service doesn't match the caliber of the food. It never has. Also, it seems the prices have been raised quite a bit, so there's that as well. It's quite expensive now. It didn't used to be at the high end of prices. Now it is. I'd still recommend it, because I've never been unhappy with the food.

Nice ambiance and good quality food, although quite expensive. A good experience with good service.
We enjoy eating here because it is right across the street from Carnegie Hall, and the food and place are wonderful...The service is wanting....neglectful at times....perhaps they are still under staffed. Anyway that does not spoil the experience. Try the sushi...fun to eat and good.
From the best fried Calamari to the miso cod, each rates at the top for me. My dining companions, between, mmmmms, said the same for the branzino and pasta with seafood. So glad they still make rounds with cookies right from the oven.

I booked the restaurant based on its reviews, menu and proximity to lincoln center. I was pleasantly surprised with the service, quality of food preparation and the overall ambience of the place. My wife and I have already decided that we have to return to the place and do a deeper dive of the menu. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.
Service is exemplary at the Redeye Grill. An interesting menu, creative and delicious dishes, and ambiance that’s classic yet comfortable. This place could become a habit.
My sister and I ate at Redeye Grill June 8. We ordered the scallops! Delicious! We also ordered the Crab Cake and Scampi! Outstanding! Our other two sisters came to town June 11 and we raved about the dinners. Again scallops were ordered much to their disappointment. The scallops were tasteless and the sauce was “ gloppy”. I’m not sure we would ever return to the Redeye if the menu is this unpredictable!!
