Been to the REG many times before. This is the first time in NYC since Covid-19, and it was just as good as ever. The Maitre D was terrific and out waiter was exceptional.

Very very very nice people, however; food was very expensive and not all that good. If i was feeling like blowing money i would dine there again
Upon arrival (5pm) and being seated, our waiter asked which show we were seeing and what time it started (7pm). He assured us that we could relax and he would have us out in time. My wife had the filet mignon and it was delicious. I asked for a strip steak cooked a very particular way, no just medium or well, but charred on the outside and medium in the center. This is a good place to book reservations the week you're going to Carnegie Hall (it's right across the avenue). However, don't expect large entree portions. If you're really hungry, order an appetizer and/or a salad as well as your entree. A nod to the service: quite good. And the desserts are BIG, so if a small entree and a big dessert fills you up, you will do well here. Lovely restaurant, great food, wonderful wine selection to celebrate finishing the NYC Marathon. Our waiter was top notch and my wife wanted to adopt him. I appreciated the champagne at the end with the congrats from the restaurant to finish the celebration with my family. Thank you Redeye Grill!
Everything was very good, but the drinks are 90% ice. I asked for a 1/4 the amount of ice when I ordered my 2nd drink but it was still mostly ice. The rest of the meal was outstanding.
