Excellent, as usual. Every aspect, pitch perfect!
Drinks were excellent. Waiter and Maitre d very nice. Should not have an item in the menu or suggest it (sushi), if the chef did not show up that day. Food was good, but not as good as we were expecting based on reviews we read. We, unfortunately, had a seat right near Maitre D station and he and the hostess were chatting pretty loudly.
The food at Redeye is great but it's not cheap. We paid nearly $300 dollars for two of us and that was without any alcohol (and only one of had three courses) It is a nice building though and the staff were generally friendly - the manager even took time to come over and say hello and thank us for our custom. However our waitress was a little curt and brought us our bill before we asked for it, which annoyingly meant we forgot to ask for the 15% discount given to us by our hotel who had recommended the restaurant to us in th... read more
This restaurant was so loud you couldn't carry on a conversation. The food is okay; some items better than others. The service was excellent.

Hostess made us feel very welcome upon arrival, as did all of the Redeye Grill associates. Excellent food and service!
Noisy; Our particular waitperson was awful, but others were very helpful when we were able to get their attention. Otherwise, love the place and the food is wonderful.
Ultra-fresh salmon perfectly cooked medium with a teaspoon of wild mushrooms, 4 spears of asparagus and 2 tablespoons of cauliflower purée for $38. Outstanding service and located across 7th Avenue from Carnegie Hall. Try to be seated in the small quiet room to the right of the front door. A comfortable, convenient place for dinner before a concert.
The place is beautifully decorated and spacious. Also, convenient if going to City Center or Carnegie Hall. Open late, too. The night we were there, there was a terrific singer-piano player. Service was excellent, perfect. The food however was just OK. Chinese chopped salad was very good , but the pasta with seafood was just blah. Sauce was too watery and the presentation was very plain.
