Outstanding food, drinks, service, and atmosphere
We had dinner following a concert at Carnegie Hall this past Sunday night. We go here regularly for drinks and food before and after performances. Unfortunately we must have experienced an off night for the kitchen. Our food was not good at all. Mostly over cooked seafood, tough, dry, and not tasty at all. Everything else was great, just not the food.
We chose to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary on what might be "the last day of summer" for the Grill's outdoor "terrace." It was as wonderful as it always has been. with excellent food and service. The only drawback was the absence of the chocolate urn at the front desk; a new supply wouldn't be in until the following day. But the manager and server made up for that absence with chocolate chip cookies, a reliable substitute. Gorgeous interior and top notch food. Attentive and welcoming waitstaff. Personal touches like fresh baked cookies make it feel better than at home. Cocktails and beverage items unbeatable. Perfect destination before a show at Carnegie or City Center.
What we love about the Redeye is the menu is so diverse, but all very delicious. Richard, the general manager and his staff are the most accommodating and the service is always wonderful.NEVER disappoints!
Beautiful, clubby interior. Excellent choice for pre-theatre dining. The menu has something for everyone without being so extensive that one feels overwhelmed with too many choices.
Wonderful atmosphere and great service. Highly recommended.
