Get directionsprime rib My wife and I were really looking forward to our evening out at the Redstone Inn. We heard the prime rib was wonderful. However, It had been roasted previously and reheated over a grill. I would never have thought to ask when the meat had been roasted. Particularly on a Saturday night. It sure was not what we expected. Definitely...
Historical Hotel in a lovely little mountain town The Redstone Inn was once a building for the bachelors that worked in the coal mines in Redstone. They have added on, but we stayed in one of the older rooms...it was small, had a small bathroom and a closet. The grounds are lovely and a wonderful place for a wedding or other gathering. There is a swimming pool, hot...
Great views, and good food A friend had a wedding at the Redstone Inn recently, and the hotel was tucked so beautifully into the mountainside that every view and every photo were fantastic. The wedding (onsite at the Redstone) was simply lovely, and the food was fabulous at the restaurant. The rooms are a bit outdated and no wifi or internet access (but this is...
Relaxing getaway This was our fourth stay over the past twenty years. We like the historic laid back ambience. It has a scenic and lovely setting with a nice , though cold , pool and a nice hit tub. It has an updated exercise area. We played tennis on their court which was badly in need of resurfacing. Our dinner was superb...
Comfortable feel and tasty Lumch today was very good, and our server was very attentive...granted we had only soup. The French Onion and the tortilla soups were both excellent in taste and presentaion. Also enjoyed much of the historic artwork on the walls throughout the bar and lobby.
A nice getaway in a historic inn I like the Redstone Inn and have stayed there before. It is quaint and has character. It was built over 100 years ago and is a historic inn. There are pros and cons to staying there, so it is good to know what you are getting before you go. Pros: - Redstone is a beautiful little town, away from largely...
Good food interesting setting The steak, prime rib and breakfast were all good and reasonably priced. The bar and restaurant have the same food and prices, Its a matter of the atmosphere you want. The bartenders were great.
Quaint & cozy The Redstone Inn is definitely a piece of history. Constructed by John Cleveland Osgood as a social / industrial experiment, at the turn of the century...it was quite a luxury for the times. Osgood was very successful in the business of mining, but wanted to improve living conditions for his employees. He built houses for families and a 20 room...
Poor service, we left hungry The atmosphere is nice, the service slow. Our dread headed waitress seemed very "out of it" and after waiting nearly an hour, out lunch order was delivered incorrectly 2x. We gave up and went to Carbondale.
