I discovered the Relax The Back lifestyle while living in Connecticut in the late 90s. Like most, I found this store through necessity; a lower back pain issue I had since college. I am a 72 year old woman who bought a recliner chair in May from Relax The Back. Today the chair stopped working. I was told to lift up the chair and send the serial number to RelaxTheBack before they could help me. I have a bad back, which is why I bought the chair. Why wasn't the serial number recorded before they shipped the (expensive) chair

Frances, There may be another way or ways to get your Lift Chair service started without locating the serial number. I'll email you privately to review. You should not have to lift the chair to reveal the serial number - it's printed on the owners manual which may still be located in the side pocket of the chair. Alternatively it's printed on a crossbar which can be revealed by opening the rear velcro flap at the back side of the chair. It will begin with the letters GT. Sales people have wonderful knowledge in there products however fail to let you know that you actually pay for a delivery charge when it sounds like it’s included in the price. Returned a chair earlier this year and they charged me for a delivery charge that was never disclosed. They would not refund the money until I went all the way up to corporate and they put pressure on them. Would never returned back to the store!!
