Dr. Naimark has been my psychiatrist for over 15 years. He is very knowledgeable in his field. He is sensitive to my feelings and he helps me with whatever it takes. He has never given up on me! I greatly appreciate him!

I read through the comments for Dr. Naimark and although I understand where these patients are coming from, I find them unnecessarily harsh. It took me several appointments to understand how to talk to him. I bring in notes and summarize my symptoms of my week in 60 seconds or less. If you say something as simple as "this medication is helping but not enough," that's even better. Maybe that's not the best doctor-patient relationship but after having several very bad psychiatrists he's the best one so far. I'm a pretty comple... read more

Dr. Naimark may not have the best bedside manner but after knowing him for six years, he's friendly, kind and, well, basically a genius. He's encouraged me to lose weight (I'm down 70 pounds) and was incredibly helpful and communicative during my 2 pregnancies. Anyone who is put off by him, give him a second chance. He's saved my life. He's not supposed to be your friend, he takes his job very seriously. Honestly, if you need to chat, find a therapist, not a psychiatrist.

Dr. N. oversees my medication, period. I am satisfied with my treatment. However, I did have a problem with the staff yesterday. I missed an appointment b/c I had the wrong day in my calendar. The recep treated me like I was crazy for thinking I had an appointment that day and then said I needed to call Dr. N b/c of a past due amount. She was just short of being nasty. I left feeling absolutely awful. Not a good fit for a counseling office at all. Other receptionists have been perfectly fine, which is why I'n not rating them... read more

I have been with Dr. Naimark for many years. During the course of my treatment, he has jumped through hoops trying to find the right medications for my condition. I don't find him "aloof" or "disinterested" at all. He has always been very careful in reducing and increasing medication. If you people need more "attentiveness" hook up with a therapist!

I have been a patient of Dr. Naimarks for many years. Too many. He always wants to see you in 2 weeks or a month. He does this to take advantage of your insurance and he has a high turn over rate. People don’t stay with him. He rushes you out the door. An appointment is supposed to be a minimum of 15 minutes. I have gotten max the entire time I have been with him 5 minutes. He also calls my prescriptions in wrong and he has also called them in to the wrong pharmacy several times. But if I need a medication before my appointm... read more

I've given the man 4 months despite my first reaction. He doesn't listen to the patient or other medical facts. He calls me in every two weeks now because he wants to increase my meds after I asked to decrease them because it elevated my blood pressure. He keeps saying, "It was fine in my office that day." I keep saying it wasn't fine for two weeks in the hospital. Looking elsewhere.

I wish I could just rate Naimark himself, I'd give him a 0. He does not care about his patients and over prescribes medications and does not tell you what exactly your meds do. I have a severe case of Bipolar disorder, anxiety problems, and borderline-personality disorder so I am a difficult patient to prescribe medications to. Anyways he put me on 6 medications and every time I would see him he would say "what medication do you think is working the best" I don't freaking know, you're the doctor... I think its hard to tell w... read more
