When I first went here I had an okay experience. It was the first time I was actually treated for bipolar in my entire life (other doctors misdiagnosed me). Having medication for bipolar as opposed to depression medication (which makes bipolar worse) was a nice change- I felt better for a little while, but whenever I would go in to explain my concerns: what I was experiencing during a manic stage, and a low, my medication was always increased. The second to last time I was seen, my medication was increased so much that it ne... read more
Dr. Naimark is callous, uncaring, and his staff is extremely inconsiderate. I'm grateful to not be suffering from depression or they would probably push me over the edge!
"Dr. Naimark" was as rude and cold as almost everyone else has said. Those that think he is professional and courteous have obviously never been to a previous psychiatrist before!! He started me on low doses of the three meds I was on (I am type 1 bipolar) and never increased them to the helpful levels they were before. His "covering" Dr was of no help at all when I had a med emergency.....didn't even have the guts to call me himself, had the rude secretary do it.
he over medicates his patients. I went to him on 3 meds.He put me on three more and increased to max dose. He would not listen to my concernes or my families concernes even after i was hospitalized. The meds made me suicidal and after an attempted suicide he "terminated" seeing me while i was still in the hospital.DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HIS PATIENTS.
DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR! The office receptionist are rude and do not help you. They put you on hold for 10 minutes with out apologizing! You MUST call back to confirm appointment, if you don't they CANCEL your appointment. I waited 2 1/2 months for an appointment and did not know I had to call back so they CANCELED it and told me I could get an appointment 2 months later!!!! Saw him a few times, very rude. My suggestion is to find a different doctor. He is HORRIBLE. The office is HORRIBLE!!!
He is very short with his answers to you. He does not like to be questioned at all! One day he will be responsible for someone's suicide after he "takes them immediately (safely)" off the medication he put them on. My child was close to suicidal, if not for my sudden and swift attention to their horrible withdrawal symptoms. My child always complained of feeling over drugged. If he ever reads this, I hope he will learn something here. I am not a vindictive person, but I will tell it how it was.
Dr. Naimark had little to no bedside manner, and I wish that was the worst of his problems. It is my opinion that he over-medicates, does not advise on the proper way to stop taking medication (a mistake that almost caused me to kill myself--you should never just stop taking certain anti-depressants cold,) he focuses on irrelevant issues (like weight, etc.) and he makes rude comments that are unhelpful to wellness. He seems to push certain medications, and I do not understand the agenda behind it. There seems to be little to... read more
Naimark generally seems to be simply going through the motions. "Disinterested", "annoyed", "aloof" are all terms I would use to describe his demeanor. He seems more concerned about whether one has paid their co-pay and/or bill than he is about the patient.
