Great food great service. Crowded even on a Sunday night.
The day before my reservation, I dropped off a gift with the manager that I wanted delivered to my girlfriend along with our appetizers. Not only did they hold onto it for a full twenty-four hours, but our server brought it to the table with the apps just as I'd asked the day before, and I didn't have to say a word to anyone. First visit. Will definitely return. Food, ambiance, service all great. No complaints. A place you can let the servers recommend items or wines if you are unsure or undecided. Prices fall into the high range but reasonable considering the atmosphere, service and menu. Small with moderate noise. Reservations recommended.
Food was fantastic. They were having a chef special that incorporated black truffles. Our wine was amazing and paired perfectly with each course. Service was impeccable as always. Would go there again without reservation. Of course, You can't go wrong with any of the Bartolotta restaurants.
A week ago we raved about the first black truffle menu. This week we enjoyed the second one. Highlights were the sweetbreads in the appetizer and pigs feet dumplings in the main course. All three courses were excellent, if not quite as good as last week's. We appreciated tasting four Poliziano wines offered by a wandering wine maker and bought a case of an incredible Sangiovese based Asinone Montepulciano. Chet's black truffle tasting menu was delicious and intriguing with off the beaten track choice of meats. We love our servers and the managers.
